Informed Health® Line:
In addition to your dedicate Care Advocate Team you also have access to the Informed Health® Line which provides employees and their families with telephone access to registered nurses 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Informed Health® Line nurses provide easy-to-understand information on a variety of health topics including prevention strategies, chronic conditions and complex medical situations. They are always available to help you with your health care needs and questions.

Transplants Aetna’s Institutes of Excellence™ Program
Aetna’s national network for transplants and transplant-related services, including evaluation and follow-up care. Hospitals that have been selected to participate in the Institutes of Excellence transplant network have met enhanced quality thresholds for volumes and outcomes.
The program includes:

  • A dedicated clinical team with extensive case management experience in specialized care
  • Travel allowances (when authorized by Aetna) for patient and companion when traveling to use an Institutes of Excellence facility
  • A dedicated Member Services and claims staff for special handling of patient claims and benefits issues
